Uhh???

That hideousness is brought to you by fab fours. 3100 dollars for that monstrosity of a front bumper. Don't worry, You'll be able to make your 1500 DT ugly AF real soon.
Blame the Jeep guys for this. Nothing against Fab fours, they do make some great looking bumpers as well, this item they refer to as the Grumper is not one of them.

At least this one blends works together with the sides and top!!! The OP pic has for the most part smooth sides and top then BAM BAM crinkle the F out of the nose into ummm...Something

Looks like he covered his truck in glue and drove through a flea market

Grumper sounds suspicioulsy close to slang for taking a ****...I do see a connection

I kid you not...I had my Ram in for recall work today, and the twin of the OP’s truck (along with several other dealer-customized rigs) was sitting on their Chevy lot nextdoor. To top it off, a customer was checking it out up close as I drove by! I remembered this thread and had a laugh.

Believe me. Those grumper kits are the laughing stock of the Jeep community too. Right next to 20’s.

Sorry. On a Jeep, 20’s are useless. Less sidewall. Wrong load rating. Less sidewall flex. 645C3E4D-5081-41CE-8FBB-6A25A4CC4CD0.jpeg More rolling weight. Not a single advantage and plenty of disadvantages.

Just a picture pulled off the internet..... Obviously you don't own one. Trust me, my rims and tires weigh less than those in the picture you found.

This is happening tomorrow through the weekend

Really? I own 3 (including the one in the pic I posted), and have had over 30 in my life. Not to mention having my own shop. Thank you. Apple to apples, in every combination a 20 weighs more than an equivalent 17. Not to mention every other detractor I mentioned.

It's the new and improved Edsel Aztec! Almost as pleasant as the 2020 Silverado HD..................................................A face only a mother can love.IMG_2705.jpgIMG_3371.JPGIMG_3359.JPGIMG_3369.JPGIMG_3372.JPG

All it needs is a hardtop like this to complete the Aztec look:

My old boss bought an Aztec. When he brought it home, his wife said two things to him.
1. Good thing you’re married because you would not get a date.
2. That Aztec looks like two ugly cars humping.

He couldn’t get either of those thoughts out of his head so he traded it in.

Whatever...... You obviously are the go to know it all about Jeeps and the thousands of Jeeps built to be a cool SUV are idiots...... Y'all have have a good one.

But my rim in a 17x9 is 4lbs lighter than a 20. A 35" tall 17" diameter tire weighs about 8 lbs more than 35/20. My math is says my combo 20" is lighter.... Again.... Whatever...... This thread isn't worth watching anymore.

I'm not sure what "rim" you have, but to give you an direct comparison, of two wheels and tires that are the same. ProComp 31 with a 35" Nitto Trail Grappler in both 17 and 20. A 17" PC 31 weighs 31 lbs. and a 20" 42 lbs. The Nitto in 17 is 77 lbs and the 20 is 79 lbs. Total weight of the exact same 17" combo over the 20" is 13 lbs of unsprung rolling weight per corner. Yes there are lighter and heavier combos. But the same wheel and tire in a 17 will be lighter than a 20.

It's your Jeep, build it how you want. But when your mods make it less capable in the long run, don't be surprised when people who wheel them shake their heads.

Never got the whole mod thing - even raising the height and big tires thing. Spend a ton of money on a truck or SUV then spend a ton more money that you will NEVER get back. Plus decreased gas mileage , raising center of gravity to increase chance of rollover and fInally --why should I have to listen to your annoying exhaust and tire noise ?

I don’t know. I like mine and have had a few people approach me to take pictures. It’s just a preference thing. I want my Ram to look a little different than the rest of the Ram’s around here. Anyone can install a 10ga bumper and a flashy grille on their truck but this is a little different. Next is a bulletproof 10-12 inch lift. 60122CDD-92E7-49D6-B22B-F68961611D94.jpeg72D86B19-E9F4-4B90-B247-5D31868B9A7F.jpeg442B7E27-0EB0-42AB-8277-57142CEDECE7.jpeg60122CDD-92E7-49D6-B22B-F68961611D94.jpeg72D86B19-E9F4-4B90-B247-5D31868B9A7F.jpeg442B7E27-0EB0-42AB-8277-57142CEDECE7.jpeg
