uh oh did I screw up? 6 inch lift

I just ordered a Rough Country 6 inch lift for my 2023 Ram 1500 Laramie and scheduled to be installed soon. I already bought and installed my 18x9 -12 Method wheels with 35" Nitto Grapplers. I just noticed on the RC website that their kit doesn't work with 18 inch wheels. I panicked and started trying to search online if that's true. On Customoffset.com gallery there's a 2019 with an RC Lift and same spec wheels.

Can anyone with the RC 6" Lift confirm this? I imagine it has to do with backspacing. Can anyone tell me what I can do to get these 18's to fit?

for anyone who might need this info in the future. Rough Country claims it's because of their "new" knuckle design. Not sure how new that design is.

I just had my entire front end apart a couple weekends ago and I can’t visually imagine the space limitation of an 18in wheel.

You should definitely have a backup plan just incase.
I’m not a fan, but you might be able to run spacers to pull the wheel away from the knuckle more.

The BDS kit says it works with 18s with the spacers. I wonder if RC just doesn’t mention that for liability reasons.

Btw RC customer service is top notch. Give them a call, a live human American will answer. They know their stuff too.

I asked the dude that owns that truck on CO. He said 2 inch spacers all the way. Rubbed plastic a little though.

why do all the extra work for no suspension performance gain for a 6" when it performs the same as a 2-3" kit?
you'll still have the same rubbing anyways but you will be cutting your frame and if you wheel, you will not be able to install skid plates.

I did my 6 inch becuase I love how it looks.

you'd be surprised how many people think 6" lift helps because it's 6" LOL

Thanks! I ended up just buying a set of 20’s. Besides, it gave me a reason to switch up the design
