Hey gents, Hoping someone has had this issue and has had it rectified.

I have a 2023 Ram Sport Night Edition with the 12" Uconnect Screen

I have an iphone 15 pro, using wireless apple carplay.

This happens everytime I start the vehicle

I connect carplay, and I will say something like this: 'Hey Siri send a message to my son'

She will respond with what do you want to say, do you want to send your message etc. All the standard things

Message will send.

I will receive message and Siri will announce message and all is good.

All of this exact sequence is at max volume on the sound for the microphone and I can hear perfectly normal.

Now, after this initial sequence I mentioned above, all other communications with voice activation is very low, no matter the volume level.

I will turn the vehicle off, get out of the truck, re enter and do the above sequence again, and it happens exactly the same way.

I work from my truck a lot. So this has really deflated me purchasing it. Hearing messages or sending messages the sound is very low. No matter what the volume levels of all sound controls are at

Would like to know if any of you have had this same issue, or similar and can rectify it.

Thanks!

Have you already tried turning the UConnect volume knob WHILE listening to a response?

I do not use an iPhone, so try the above as that is the most likely solution. However, you have a different version of the software than I do. But what about the volume setting on the iPhone itself as a possible solution?
I know this is an obvious solution, but in fact, it may also be a potential problem/solution.

There’s a longstanding bug when it comes to the Siri spoken response volume. Push and hold your uconnect power button until you see the ram logo to reset the system. That should get it back to normal volume for a while. It’ll go back to way too quiet and having to crank up the volume again, but that’s the workaround to get it working.

Thanks, I'll give this a go. Ironically the dealer linked me to an aftermarket deck as the solution lol

Appreciate the response but this is not part of the issue. Thank you tho.

Aftermarket deck as a solution is ridiculous. Though I’ve given up on Ram ever caring to fix this bug on my 22 limited.

.... Hoping someone has had this issue and has had it rectified.....
I'm afraid what you were told is exactly correct.
I can't say if it's a bug but it's certainly a (negative) feature.

You own a 2023 but on the quick guide of my LTD my2022 this is written (see keep in mind):

It only happens using carplay. If I use the voice command built in to uconnect i have zero issues...
