Two Tone Paint question

Can any of you guys that the have factory two tone paint tell me if the lower black stripe (under the lower body line) is actually painted on the body or is it a painted trim panel?
I negotiated in my sale that the dealer would add the black two tone stripe when my truck arrived. I thought they were just going to send the truck to the body shop and paint the bottom black but their telling me that its a painted trim panel and they can't find any right now.

While I do not have a Rebel, I can tell you that the two-tone silver paint on my Laramie is painted on.

The lower section on the Rebel is also black paint. I'm surprised that they didn't use just regular black and went with the metal flake black used on the black cars. You cannot feel the transition line between the two colors.

If your dealer is telling you they can't find the trim pieces to install, then you should definitely find another dealer because it sounds like these guys are stupid and have no clue about the product they sell.

I recently took delivery of a two-tone 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn 10th anniversary edition done in Diamond Black Crystal Pearl and the lower part is walnut brown. Because I am not exactly sure what you are asking, if you want to take a picture of what you are describing, i would be more than happy to take a look at mine and send you a picture. While the pandemic does seem to be winding down, i do know that parts in any industry are still delayed and on back order. For example, I am been waiting 5 weeks so far just for Ram mudguards to come in.

Thanks for all the responses. I found my answer, the black strip on th bottom is painted on. I went out to Homedepot this morning and it just so happened I saw a two tone Rebel pulling into the parking lot and he parked behind me. I went over and asked him about his stripe and he told me it was definitely painted on. He let me take a few pictures simular to the ones Dr. Jim posted above. Now I just hope the dealer steps up and does the right thing and paints the stripe on.
