I have been PMing RamCares about the AC issue in our trucks.

They got back to me with the following TSB 24-001-20 HVAC. It looks like they redesigned the airbox on trucks after July 2020. I think this might finally be a fix for some of the issues we have been having.

I went to the dealer for Oil Change yesterday and of course they did not know anything about the TSB but when they looked it up they found it right away. Apparently though, this means the entire dashboard, steering wheel, steering column, glove boxes and MANY other pieces need to be removed and put back on. I am very much looking forward to getting this AC thing fix even though I live in PA and don't need it now I know what is going to happen. Come spring/summer they will be back ordered and I will be waiting for months.
As such, the dealer said it could take up to 3wks to get the parts I need for that fix anyhow.

Has anyone had this done? Thoughts???

FYI, I know some have had trouble with RamCares but I will be honest they have been nothing but great to me.

I remember this being discussed (like yesterday) in another thread, but I don’t remember which one (you’ll need to search...sorry). That member was happy with the job his dealer did putting things back together, even though he can’t really test it until spring. Good luck!

It was the “AC Performance” thread. You might check that out.

What's your AC issue? Mine just sizzles like a skillet.

I have a 19 same issue with a/c, worst out of any vehicle I’ve ever had! Ram bought mine back for other reasons and I ordered a new 2021, with a December 2020 build date. So if they really did change something with it in July mine should be better I hope. As far as ram cares goes. I think it all depends on who your case manager is and how they work together with your dealers. Jane from ram cares was the worst I’ve had. Caught her in lies, acted like she didn’t really care about my issues. She told me we can’t assume anything and that we have to go with what the dealers say. She told me all I needed was a road force balance and that would fix all my vibration issues, lol what a joke it’s been road forced balanced several times with no fix. Then 2 dealers told her nothing wrong. So she tells me there’s nothing wrong with my truck, she’s 500 miles away and never even seen my truck. I drive it everyday and I’m telling you it’s not right. Finally ram sends a specialist tech out, wow says right away there’s something wrong with this truck, but we can’t figure out what. That’s after, I was told nothing is wrong by 2 dealers and Jane from ram cares. In the end no one really cares! Finally when I get to the buy back specialist, I finally feel like maybe someone cares about ram customers!
