Does anybody have the text/details of the Truck Owner Conquest Retail Bonus Cash (38CK5) incentive? Looking for more than the website sentence.

One dealer told me I had to have a 1/2 full size PU to qualify, another told me that my Frontier was a ”non-FCA light duty truck” so I did qualify.
thx!

I don’t have the details on conquest but I always thought it was any other vehicle (so non fca). I’d be interested what you learn. Separately, the rebate below is like conquest and is totally stackable to whatever you get. It is not applied by the dealer. You apply for it AFTER your purchase. Since you are trading in a non fca vehicle you qualify. If you wind up purchasing, make sure you go fill this out afterwards and get an extra $250. You only have 60 days after your purchase to file.

Make sure you go file for this additional rebate. Do it within 60 days of purchase.

The only qualification is that “someone in your household” must have a non-FCA vehicle or that you traded in a non-FCA vehicle.

I'm also looking for more details, and the dealer I'm working with doesn't really acknowledge that it exists. I previously saw it as a truck conquest, without a description of which trucks qualify, but I've also read it described simply as "2020 RAM 1500 DT CREW AND QUAD CAB CONQUEST RETAIL BONUS CASH," so I have no idea what qualifies or how to push my dealer to find it in dealerconnect.

I guess this is the most detail I've found yet:
https://www.truecar.com/ram/deals/?postalCode=76180

All the disclosure says is

"Customer must own or lease a non-FCA vehicle. No turn-in/trade-in required. Expires 02/03/2020
This incentive may not be combined with the following incentives: 2020 Returning Lessee Loyalty Bonus Cash. May not be available on all 1500 styles."

So, based solely on that, either my dealer isn't looking it up correctly, or all the ambiguity is in that last line.

Of course, this page https://www.edmunds.com/ram/1500/2020/deals/?zip=76180 attributes a non-specific conquest cash offer to each variant, implying that my 2020 Longhorn RWD SB should get it, unless doesn't qualify because of the engine choice or something? We need some more authoritative perspective on this.

One other thing I've found on the truck owner conquest offer for the Texas region at least is this list of eligible trims, which may explain why it might not be applying to my longhorn purchase. Unfortunately, I copied this a few minutes ago and then closed some tabs, and I have no idea where I got it. I assume the duplicates just represent different packages or all of the engines or whatever. But yeah, basically everything but Longhorn and Limited. I don't know if this helps, and I wouldn't take it as official gospel, but it's a piece of the puzzle at least.

So I called the FCA Incentives number (800-227-0757), asked about the Truck Conquest incentive, and eventually got them to check if my Frontier would qualify. The agent said they have a list, and the Frontier was on it, so I would qualify. Also said, if the dealer has any issues, to have them call her. And she added, basically any non-FCA brand pickup, is on the list...

Well now I wish I had known about such a number two days ago. Good sleuthing! I couldn't get my dealer to give me any additional rebates beyond the $4500 standard cash listed on the corporate site; they just kept saying that they had priced all of the rebates that anyone might get in to their dealer discount and couldn't move it a dollar more for anyone. I was skeptical, since these were FCA or third party rebates I was trying to add on, but the dealer discount was indeed quite significant, so I bought into it. Looking at my paperwork now, they actually used $7,500 in rebates (not itemized), so who the hell knows what they did. And they wonder why people get so intimidated and skeptical when it comes to negotiating the price of a car. The bottom line price never changed, but they moved numbers all over the place with no explanation. Even if it works out fine, and it's just the nature of accounting in this business, it still just makes the whole thing seem shady.

Sounds like you got a good deal, even if they played with the #s. You're right, they ruin their own reputation by playing fast and loose with the facts, in effect, not telling the truth about what's happening. Ive heard a number of stories of dealers telling customers that they wouldn't qual for a rebate, but buried it in the price quote, or included incentives that customers didn't qualify for. All told, they reinforce the notion that their crooked, sleazy, used car dealers...
