Truck just had a heart attack

Went to start my truck and not only would it not start, it was making a very loud boom. The boom sounded like it was at the driver side window although I’m sure it wasn’t. After not starting, I heard what sounded like air hissing from the engine bay.

I was able to jump it but then I had about every possible dummy light on you can imagine. After disconnecting the battery most went away, but now the radio is an issue. No cameras show up, not even the button on the screen, satellite radio is gone, the theme is now red instead of blue, etc, and so on.

I did have a taser plugged in but it was only for tire size and mirrors.

Any ideas as to what’s going on?

I should add I only have 2200 miles.

Did you try unplugging the taser and plugging everything back up original and see what happens.

I did. No changes. I really don’t think it has anything to do with the tazer.

Battery explode? I had that happen once on a fairly new 2003 truck. Made a mess all over the engine compartment.

Everything is back to normal now. So weird. Still have to take it in for some recalls. I guess we’ll see what they come up with.

Known issue with the Taser. Why people buy brand new trucks and decide to plug $2 Chinese junk electronics into them is beyond me. You could have just voided your warranty for the PCM, TCM if the taser caused the issue.

I don’t have one but a few members here do w/o any issues whatsoever...
