I just realized truck cap is much more heavier(and more expensive as well) than a truck cover. A truck cap could easily go over 200lbs while aluminum truck cover like MX4 is just around 60lbs. And that also means a truck cap eats away not-small portion of your truck payload. Glad I chose MX4 :)

Doesn't matter. These trucks haul no problem. I have a Leer cap on mine and the truck doesn't even know it's there, except that you get a little more satisfying ride because the light back end is evened out a little bit. Drive a truck with a decent fiberglass truck cap on it versus one with a tonneau and you'll immediately notice the difference.

Now for some people the tonneau might be the best option, or for some nothing at all. When I had my truck toolbox in my Titan, I had nothing at all. But it also meant every day hauling table saws, chop saws, compressors, nail guns and everything else in and out of the back of the truck so it wouldn't get stolen or damaged in the rain. The truck cap solves that issue. I've had the back of my truck filled to the roof with stuff. I have a bed rug back there so nothing slides around; when I want to haul long things I just drop the tailgate and put the cap window down, and I can haul all kinds of long crap and nothing blows out of the truck; the cap drops the air right around whatever I'm carrying.

So anyway, to each their own, but definitely don't knock it till you try it :)

140# difference, you and your truck will never notice it.
I like having a topper, looks great, everything inside is protected. Ymmv.
