Wanting to get some opinions, please. I've got a 2019 5th Gen with 137k miles and to the best of my knowledge, it has never had a transmission fluid flush. Just recently there have been a few events where it will randomly a shift to neutral while driving and I have to a shift to park and then back into gear to keep driving. Obviously I'm worried about the safety concerns and also major repairs that can be even more costly. I just assumed that the fluid/additives have worn down and needs to be changed. Has anyone experienced this yet? And what was your fix? Appreciate all the help, thank you.

Personally I would get it checked out by a shop or dealership. Our Grand Cherokee started having trans problems recently, and I thought fluid and filters would help, but it turned out being the solenoid pack, which needed replacing. It has to be scanned to diagnose the cause of the problems.

I forgot to add it only happens when decelerating and downshifting. It's almost like it will slip and go into neutral automatically, but I do not hear a hard downshift or a clunk of any type.

This is a known issue. There is no known fix. Trans fluid won't make any difference. You don't have to shift to Park, shifting to Neutral and then back to Drive will work.

I di hear that no flush was needed by the Dealer but then i heard that the trans Mfg. says yes doit? I didnt have any problems but i thought it would be a good idea to do the flush so i did last night 122,000

Did you do it yourself at home or a shop? Drain and fill? I forget if it's a sealed system or not but Blau says you can only get 5qts or so out if you just drain. I guess that's better than no new fluid but...

You did a drain and fill, not a flush.
