Hello, I am looking to change the transfer case fluid in my 2019 Ram 1500 DT. The truck has 4WD Auto. The dealer wants $97 CAD / bottle for the lubricant (part # 68049954AC). Can anyone recommend a suitable alternate to this?

I found a suitable alternate to this on Blau Auto Parts, but they don't ship to Canada currently.

thanks.

Sorry to see they don't ship to you.

On the AMSOIL website which lists the BW48-11 and BW48-12 4WD Auto Transfer cases:
https://www.amsoil.com/lookup/auto-...m/1500-pickup/5-7l-8-cyl-engine-code-t-ezl-4/
Lists:
AMSOIL Signature Series Multi-Vehicle 100% Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid
OR
AMSOIL OE Multi-Vehicle 100% Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid

Hard to find a good answer.

I used the Ravenol BW44 from Blauparts and is the recommended spec for the 4WD Auto transfer case. Working well for me.

What Type of Transfer Case Fluid Does My Ram 1500 Take?

I paid up for the dealer fluid again. Exponential price increase over 2 years ago during the first flush. Might buy a 5 gallon pail as re bottle/sell on Amazon ha.

Back when I changed it the first time I couldn’t find anyone with any history of running an alternate fluid for any length of time but I’d be open to a swap with some real world use evidence. I’ll just put in the dealer magic and revisit when I hit 150k.
