Hey this is my first time posting in here. I have searched the site for similar issues and have not been able to find exactly what I am looking for. I'll start with the issue:
Service 4WD light on.
Service Electronic Traction Control
Service Trailer Break System.
Check Engine Light on.
No indication on the panel as to what drive I am in. The dealer confirmed the truck is stuck in 2WD.
I took the truck to the dealer for diagnosis, they ran an update of some sort, and quoted me around ~$800 to replace the Transfer Case Control Module. The part alone is about $450. However, I have found the same part available online for about half that cost. I know this module needs to be flashed and programmed appropriately to the truck. My question are can I get this done cheaper if I do it myself? Is there a way to get pre-programmed modules delivered? Has anyone done this on their own truck that can offer any advice?

I would buy it and install. I don't think it needs to be programmed to the vehicle. If it does, the dealer will usually do it for 1hr labor or find a local shop/mobile programmer that can do it. My experience is Stellantis is one of the more expensive vehicles to program aftermarket
