Has anyone installed a train horn on their truck yet? If so where’d you put it? Did you connect it to your horn or use it’s own button?

Looking at installing one this weekend on my 2019 Big Horn and wanted to see if anyone had any information or tips for me.

I did, all my stuff is in the front, tank under the radiator, horns and compressor behind the grill, it's connected to a momentary button also added a air port for tire inflation under the hood, 140 psi, all works good so far but I barely use it so far all I've been able to scare was my wife, she wasnt happy...

I installed a set of Nathan K5LA Airchimes on my 2008 RAM Big Horn.
They will get moved over to my 2021 Laramie this Summer. I will
replace the Nathans with the HornBlaster.com Shockers I upgraded from.
The Horns are mounted behind the grill and the Tanks are mounted to
the Frame Rails.

I have a hidden toggle switch that switches between the stock horn and the
Nathans.

I picked up a York 210 AC Compressor from a '73 Mercedes. This will be the
Air Compressor on my Hemi Engine. I designed the brackets and they were
cut out with a 1400 watt Laser.

See Photos in this link:

I will be using a Sanden 709/SD7H15 clone I got off Amazon for $95. This will be
mounted on the EcoDiesel Engine in my Laramie. I have to wait until Spring to
get measurements and locations for the Horns, Compressor, and Air Tanks.

Sanden Clone (Price is under $80 right now):
Watch out to make sure that the Clutch is 12V and not 24V. I ordered the wrong one but quickly
realized it and canceled the order within 30 minutes.

There are videos on Youtube on how to convert it for air compressor use. This one has a V-Belt pulley,
but Serpentine pulleys are available too. I will be making a Hybrid Idler pulley for the serpentine and
V-belt for the EcoDiesel.

Wolo (860-C) Air Rage Heavy-Duty Compressor [XB3P3S752] - $67.99 : decorsday.com
I had a Viair 480C at first. It is a $300 compressor I purchase new for $195. It would
Fill my two tanks (9 gal total) from 0 PSI to 200 PSI in 23 Minutes. The York would do
the same in 3 minutes at idle. The York 210 would put out 9-10 CFM at 100 PSI. The
Sanden 709 has 7 pistons and puts out 9 CFM per 1000 RPM. You can run most air tools
just off the Compressor itself.

The Nathans use 100-120 CFM to sound the loudest. They are expensive. If I had gotten
an Oasis modified York, I would have about $2K in my horn setup. The next best setup
would be a Hornblaster's Conductor 540 kit with the Shocker XL Horns.

Train Horn Test for loudest:
