First time towing a travel trailer here. The weights are all okay ..
Hitch Weight1618 lbs
GVWR7495 lbs
it's an 11 foot tall 30 foot trailer. I have the tow package with trailer sway damping and trailer electronic control brakes so do I still need an after-market sway bar or would a weight distribution hitch and the OEM package on my 1500 be okay?

You need sway control. If you don’t already have a weight distribution hitch, the mid and high-end models have sway control built in.

Exactly

The "built in" sway control is a reactive program that's part of the Vehicle Stability Control, and only works AFTER it detects sway. A proper sway control setup is a preventative measure used to mitigate and minimize sway BEFORE it happens.
