Do the mirrors on the rebel retract at the push of a button if so do the trailer mirrors also do?

You have to buy a package that includes power folding mirrors on the Rebel (either the Rebel Level 1 or Rebel Level 2 Equipment group). For trailer mirrors, you have the option to buy either manual or power folding. So the answer is yes and no, plus yes and no. This is all on Ram's site.

I had the regular mirrors "power fold" on my 2015 and miss them badly at certain times. RAM kind of misleads when they say "power tow mirrors with heat elements" but really mean manual folding on most of them. I have an internal bet that I will lose one of the towing mirrors (elephant ears) at least over the next few years. I sure do like how the tow mirrors address the blind spot vs the old 2015 mirrors but power "folding" mirrors are the way to go IF you can get them. I thought they were mostly on Laramie and up where I first noted the distinction...after I got the truck... Well, actually during the purchase. I had read "power" and was assuming "power fold." Then the sales guy showed me that the mirror itself was power but NOT the fold. And they aren't exactly easy to do every time you get in a spot where you think.... Hmmm, maybe I ought to fold those in. The regular mirrors aren't that hard to fold in one hand. The tow mirrors, get out, grab with both hands and PULL. I took a glance at one of the threads on putting them in after purchase and it looks daunting and expensive including a new door module ad nauseum, empty wallet.

Do the Mirrors on the Big horn fold in by power or do you need the trailer tow mirrors to get that option? - asking for a friend.

Well, the Ram website says they're manual folding mirrors. Unless you get the Level 1 or Level 2 group (then they're power folding). If you opt for the trailer towing mirrors, they're manual.

Actually, it is the opposite. The "power folding" mirrors (non towing) are often on most vehicles above the Tradesman. It is usually the very expensive levels where you can get the "power folding" tow mirrors. I have yet to find any on Big Horns... They will call them "Power Tow Mirrors" "manual fold." Oh, since 2015, they have improved the regular mirrors quite a bit with the dedicated convex little mirror. There are some after market tow mirrors that fit over the regular mirrors where it is difficult to tell they are not OEM but you do have to manually adjust them. https://www.etrailer.com/Towing-Mirrors/CIPA/CM11400.html I actually got these less expensive on mine https://www.amazon.com/Fit-System-K...ds=ram+1500+tow+mirrors&qid=1628276713&sr=8-6 They even left the lights on the OEM mirrors so you could still see them. I am NOT sure if they work on Gen 5 (DT) Rams though. They may have changed the design. These particular after market tow mirrors fit like a glove and any design changes from DS to DT models would make them NOT fit on 2019-2022's.

Have a 2020 Big Horn DT and they make trailer mirrors that fit perfectly over the folding mirrors.
