Trailer camera pre-wiring option?

Anyone know about the $395 Trailer camera wiring option on the 2020 RAM 3500? I assume it means I can display a view from my fifth wheel rear camera onto my dash? But how does the signal get to the dash from the camera? Is there a special camera I have to buy? Does it send the signal through a lead on the 7-pin trailer electrical connection? From what I can tell, fifth wheel cameras hook up wirelessly to an auxiliary monitor in the cab, so is this wiring a waste of money?

this also suggests that there is a longer version of the cable for run back to the trailer.

I dont understand the purpose of a $343 wired kit and you still have to buy the camera. You would be much happier with this wireless option (if compatible):
