Traction control question

Traction control is stupid on these new trucks. Sometimes when I'm offroading I turn it off and if it feels like its spinning too much it turns it back on. I hate it.
The manual describes two different types of off settings for the traction control.
One is to just press the button momentarily to toggle it off/on.
Then other is to press send hold the button for 5 seconds. Maybe this only works while not in motion, or in park? I don't remember now.
I believe it turns itself back on each time the vehicle is started.
Read your manual about it.
