TPMS picking up wrong tires - no changes to vehicle, rotation etc.

So on the way home from work tonight all of a sudden I get a low tire pressure warning. Says front driver is 45. Ok so maybe low. But the right rear was now showing 55. (2022 rebel kept at 55 front 45 rear). Checked when I got home and pressure is as expected, no issues. So it looks like the TPMS shifted each tire reading clockwise. Any thoughts on why this might happen or how to reset/fix? I did try googling but mostly got posts on new wheels or tire rotations. Thanks!

That's weird, that only happens after you do a rotation, drive another 10-15 miles, which is the average reset period after a rotation and see if that fixes it on it's own. If it doesn't fix itself, you could disconnect the negative battery terminal for a few minutes and reconnect, and see if that helps. Just do it before you sleep, since it can take hours for all your systems to get back online after a battery disconnect.

Sure seems that way, I'm cringing at the day I will need a new battery, mine is almost 6 years old. I'll probably use a battery back-up to keep the computer on power as I'm switching the battery. But in your case, go for another drive, see if it resets on it's own.
 
OK. So not much interest in this but for posterity or if someone else has the issue. Turns out the front driver and rear passenger were swapped. Took out 5-10 lbs air from every tire, added back and drove a bit and it reset. So good for now. (Knock wood).
 
This suddenly happen to me today. Drove 30+ miles after it happen with no change. Front passenger looks to be switched with rear driver wheel. Since it's a rebel with pressure difference front to back, the dash is very concerned.
 
You might need to drive a little longer. It took about 60 miles of highway driving for the TPMS to reset when I switched wheels.

Having this same issue with my 2025. New TPMS sensors, worked great at first but now the sensors will rotate clockwise every couple of days it seems. Have taken it back to the tire shop to have them reset but didn't make any difference. Any idea of a fix for this?
 
When this happened to me, it was in the winter and I did have some snow and ice buildup in the wheel wells. After a bath and overnight rest, the problem fixed itself. Maybe the ice buildup interfered with transmission?
In the next couple months I had a couple goofy electric quirks on the dash that I chalked up to a dying 5 year old battery. Maybe the dying battery too contributed to this issue? Who knows. I would doubt that to be the case on a 2025 though...
 
Agreed, probably not batteries and I know it's not an ice/snow situation since I live in FL. It's been really weird and is still doing it even weeks later. Not sure if I need to just find some OE sensors and try those or not but it feels like an expensive experiment.
