Top and Bottom Rear Coil Spacers a No-No?

Hey gang,

What’s the general consensus on using top and bottom spacers on the rear coils to achieve the amount of lift you need? I know from the old days that stacking lift blocks was a sketchy proposition, just wondering if the same goes for coil spacers.

I’m looking at the RL 3.5” lift which comes with a 2” top spacer to lift the rear. Would it be ok to add a 1” bottom spacer to get a total of 3” of lift in the rear?

Thanks!

I thought about that, but all of the 3” top spacers I find say they are for 4th gen’s. Would they work on the 5th gen 1500?

3" springs will definitely give you a better ride. I have a 1/2" spacer that's for 4th gens on my truck, and it fits perfectly. I don't think they changed anything about the rear coils from the previous gen. Jeffjad linked a 3" spacer. Anything billet aluminum will work fine.

Good to know that the 4th gen spacers should work. Thank you!

Thanks for the link Jeffjad. I had been looking for top spacers, but if the bottom spacers work just as well I will go that route. 👍🏻
