Well, I’ve read these trucks don’t get great gas mileage. 15-18mpg

Well today we took a trip from South San Jose to Sparks Nevada. Stopping twice.

21.6 MPG average and range vs what I drove is over 500 miles for the 23 gallon tank. Photos taken 2 min apart.

2022 Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI e/TORQUE Laramie Crew Cab 4X4.

If I cruised at 60mph, I could get that too

That's great mpg, but it's really down to the spec of truck, especially the tires equipped. And a big variable a lot of people forget is the type of roads you drive.

I live in area with varying elevation, even on the freeway, I will never get the mpg that a person driving in a flat states get.

San Jose to Sparks is a 82ft above sea level to 6100 where we are at.

Absolutely, but that's a long 500 mile drive where you can get in a steady rhythm. I'm more focused on the regular daily commute, where I can't really maintain a steady throttle position for all that long.

Factor in my 33" A/Ts and I'm lucky to get 15-17 mpg on the highway. I do avoid the slow lane so I don't get windshield rock hits, which means 75 mph, but still easy with the throttle application on the highway. My mixed driving (70% City / 30% Highway) is about 13 mpg on a good day.

I know these RAMs can get that kind of mpg, but you need your variables to line up in terms of tires and driving conditions.

I had cruise control set to 67!
The first pic you posted shows you drove 258 miles in 4 hours and 22 minutes. That's an average speed of 59.08 MPH.

Still good mileage though, mine won't get that even at 50 MPH.

The ~5k foot elevation gain is the impressive part. You probably have the etorque and non-A/T tires to thank.

If you had a tail wind and/or got stuck behind a tractor trailer that would make a big difference, too.

Congratulations on the mpg, I have had similar.
Head wind and tail wind can play games with the mpg.

On the flat roads here in NC with a speed limit of 55 I see 21 mpg no problem.

Stock everything and 3.21
That explains it. My 14 5.7 3.21 would get 21-23mpg @ 74mph all day. My 21 17-18mpg going 59mph, highway 17mpg @ 74mph. After 2 years and 22000 miles I don't care what mpg it gets. My bts sticker price was 58000 I paid out the door 48000. I would never get that deal now so this will be my lifetime truck, my future vehicles I will never pay over 35000.

eTorque only helps with the first 1/2 rotation of the tires and in stop and go traffic, so it didn't help him in this case.

Yep, because your average speed will always be lower than your cruise speed, unless you reset your odometer when you hit 67 mph and take the reading before you get off the freeway.
