Gonna buy some new tires in the stock size for my truck to take out the squishy-ness stock tires while towing.
In the stock size I have two choices for I'm down too:
BFG KO'S and Cooper AT3 4s
The BFG is a load range D
The Cooper is a p-metric tire with and XL (extra load rating)
My dilemma is, do I go with the BFG since it's and 8 ply and rated for 2680lbs per tire yet heavier than the xl rated Cooper by 10+ lbs per tire.
Or the Cooper that's xl with a 2800ish rating.
(P rated tires take a 10% loss in capacity when used on trucks. So the 280 lb loss puts it lower rates than the load range D BFG)
Thoughts? Experiences?
