Hey guys, I’ve tried searches but it seems everyone always talks about the 20” rim. I have a 2021 1500 big horn 4wd on stock 18’s. I have installed a 2.5” level. I’m wondering if I can fit 285/75r18s. If not, what’s the widest and tallest I can go without wheel spacers.
Thanks

I appreciate the response. I would assume 285/75/18s should fit a stock 18 than. I’m just wondering if the 75 would fit. I’m not sure about the clearance from the 75 compared to your 65. You having the 20 from what I thought woukd already give you more clearance from things such as brake caliper on the back side as opposed to my 18.

my guess is the 75 would be tight. I knew 65 was my limit whether it was a 285 or 295 size tire.

Not sure if this would help, but might give you a visual if you use the tire offset and tire size comparison calculators. This really helped me get a visual of the tire size I went with:

285/75's are pretty tall (almost 35"), so you may rub somewhere at full lock, but from a width perspective, I'd imagine you should be good in terms of clearing the UCA's, etc. For whats it worth, I'm running a 295/70/18 on my truck with ORP and about 2" level and no issues here.

Thank you. That’s what I’m going with after some more thought (295/70/18). Either discovery Stt pro’s or Falkin Wildpeak A/T3w.

I cannot completely vouch for this but I can help you work through it. The offset in all trims of that year is about 19mm.

There is not different in your trim's stock wheel offset from the Rebel, Laramie, etc. All are either 8-9" width which also lines up for those tires.

ORP's and Rebels, 285/70/18's should actually fit without rubbing, bone stock. ORP's and Rebels are pre-lifted from the factory at 1" though. 295/70/18's are where the pre-lifted trucks start to rub without a level/lift. With that being said:

Once again, keep in mind:

ORP/Rebels w/ 2" lift = 3" of overall lift.
Non-ORP/Non-Rebels w/ 2.5" lift = 2.5" of overall lift.

In summary:

285/70/18's it will be very close with your 2.5" lift but you might be ok.
295/70/18's with a 2.5" lift on a non pre-lifted truck I cannot see how it would not rub. Might not be super bad, but I am pretty sure it will.

Not to come down on anyone comparing your situation to theirs with an ORP/Rebel but...they have a 1" advantage already built in.
