96000 miles

Is this a normal tick is it something to worry about? Doesn't go away after warming up. No engine lights or reduced performance i have to drive 1500 miles do i need to save up for a new motor 🤔

Could only share video through link

Sounds like injectors to me, is this a new sound you're heard in the same situation or a new sound in a new situation?

If you can't hear it with the hood down a couple of feet away from the truck, it's likely the injectors.

Thats pretty much what I recorded from my truck a couple days back, but couldn't figure out how to post it.
I herar the simular sound sometimes with the hood down, and what sounds like cracked manifolds at times...a while back i had moved the truck. shut it down and about 15 min later had to start back it back up and i could swear It sounded like a bad lifter for only a couple seconds, and hasn't happened again.

That seems to be the case it's relatively new, it's 50/50 on when I can hear it with the hood down since I have a add steel bumper replacement I hear it through the wheel well sometimes. Is injectors something i want to replace immediately

Edit

The dealership fixed a manifold with broken bolts had heard no noises for a while then had a deer hit front end, (I was oblivious to the noise maybe) had a mechanical replace a bent pulley waterpump. He alerted me to the noise but didn't say what he though it was.

Yea I had to make a link from my android, I hope it's not a lifter tick i went with dodge instead of chevy over the lifter issues :( the irony if I get lifter problems

That's exactly how my truck sounds, and has sounded, since new. Almost 70k miles on the clock.

Gotcha, it honestly sounds like normal injectors, not something I would be worried about, but maybe I'm missing a sound in the audio I can't hear?
