Throttle pedal calibration

is there a proceedure to reset relean thd throttle pedal on thew 5th gen

Disconnect battery for 15 min. I read it here, thought probably BS. Did it and made a huge difference. Only been a week, so dont know if it will go back to huge throttle lag especially in stop and go and stop and left turn, but so far, been major difference.
