Not sure if it’s been done, but I wanted to know if any one has installed some led pods in these two spots( lower bumper mesh inserts). Not sure if there’s much space behind but maybe someone has already attempted this and has some thoughts

Yep, there's plenty of space back there. You could bolt to where the tow hooks would be mounted to since you don't have them.
