I'm not sure if its the powering steering pump or the cv axle system thats leaking. It managed to drip all the way down the chassis towards the rear and splatter on my rear shocks. Wow...

That looks like engine oil.
CV Joints have grease in them and power steering is red and not that thick.

Hmm just checked my oil level and it is low. I have no idea where its leaking from since there's oil literally everywhere.

Oil filter!!!!.. They only hand tighten them at the service centers. I had the same thing happen to me in April...the filter was loose by almost 1 and half turns.

there is no power steering pump, nor fluid. steering system is all electric.
who changed the oil last?

Have you messed with the oil filter?

Woooowww lol so I decided to crawl under while running to see if it dripped from anywhere from the oil pressure and I found a microscopic hole on the oil filter itself. Must have happened from rocks while offroading. Might look into a gaurd for that now.

The lack of skid plate between front bumper and frame is really disturbing on our "off-road ready" Rebels. There's a thread on here where someone mocked one up with cardboard and had it fabricated.

That's the plan now. I really didn't think it was the filter because it was dry at the threads. It was a really small hole but the filter did look a bit beat up once I cleaned off the oil. It made a huge mess.

We figured it was something with the filter. It was easy to tell because of the part you took a pic of that was covered in oil. FYI...the FRAM Tough Guard filters have that anti-slip grips at the bottom of the filter...this also helps with durability (one of the reasons why I still them).
