Hahaha.

I knew I'd get some jabs for it here but w/e.

We are looking for a replacement for the wife's 2022 Tahoe 6.2L. She gets bored quicker than I do, but I got to taste test some of the options out there.

Out of the (non-lux) full size 3rd row SUVs on the market, I like the Expedition the best for exterior & interior, but probably 2nd to the current Tahoe, mainly because I can still get a V8 with that platform.

The Waggoneer seems good, just don't really like the exterior or now lack of V8. The Sequoia is awesome looking on the outside, a little cheap on the inside, less cargo space with 3rd row up, again no V8.

I suspect my wife will choose the Expedition, she doesn't care about the V8, she liked the 3.5L a lot actually. I asked her to wait for the all-new Nissan Armada to come out before deciding, that seems awesome.

If you don't have to go quite fullsize, we're really liking the wife's grand cherokee L. We got the v6 because we didn't need a v8, and the gas mileage has been really decent, for a vehicle shaped like a brick. I like my truck, but if it's a longer trip, we're taking her vehicle more often than not.

I wanted to stay away from the V8 as my wife commutes a lot for work. The wagoneer came up, but we preferred 8 seats and I hate the long-nosedness of it.

Couldn't find a yukon or tahoe to fit the budget and this expedition almost everything on her checklist so we went for it.

I've had 4 Fords before and have no real complaints so I'm comfy.

I've been a life long Ford guy myself, loved them over the years. I agree, I think the Expedition fits that sweet spot.

I honestly would like that, but the wife want's the larger BOF vehicles. It's her money, but for me, I honestly would love a larger unit body crossover. I had a rental 2019 Honda CR-V for a 300 mile trip, honestly impressed with the ride and fuel economy even on city streets.

I get it. She's always had two row suv's, but now our two kids are getting older, and we travel a lot for hockey, so we always have equipment. She was hesitant at first with a bigger 3 row, but we've both grown to love it. I wouldn't mind even having something larger, but for us, there just wasn't that much of a need. The only want I had was 2nd row captains chairs for the kids. I know it sacrifices a seat, but it's kinda nice having that gap in the middle in terms of comfort. And they love that they recline, slide, and have armrests.

I don't know about the all-new armada but the current ones are a real disappointment. The third row is a joke!

The gap in the middle is a must with younger kids. Our kids are older now and can manage to manipulate the second row on their own.

We decided to go for 8 seats as it is 6 of us. The family fills the Ram and only leaves one extra seat with the previous 7-seater. It's a logistical nightmare when the grandparents fly in.

It's not too bad, maybe 7 or so cu.ft. less than a Tahoe, still serviceable. You want to know bad, try the LC300, we are looking at one overseas, that's a 9 cu.ft., that's a insanely low. It's less than half of that of the Patrol, and 1/3rd of a Tahoe.

The all new Armada/Patrol is supposed to have a larger 3rd row cargo space.

I don't know about measurements. I just know that when I went back there my knees were up in my chest, and I'm not tall by any means.

For such a large vehicle, I expected more leg room in the 3rd row.

Oh gotcha, you mean the 3rd row seating itself. I was talking about the cargo space behind that 3rd row. Most of the people we'll stick back there will be kids, they should be alright.

In case we actually use it as an 8-seater, we want enough cargo for everyone's overnight bags.
