The old uconnect error, see dealer

2024 Ram 1500 Crew Laramie 5.7 etorque 4x4

Today I got the Uconnect error, contact dealership.

Searching thru this site as well as others, it seems there many “fixes”. One suggested letting the truck sit for 15-20 minutes with ignition in the run position.

Did that, went out to cycle ignition and got a different error. Now it says it can’t reinstall the apps. It tries for five minutes then gives that error, it tries again gives the error again. You can see a progress bar and it says 0%. Sits there and errors after a few seconds.

There are no codes stored. No cel. Still plays music, but there are no CarPlay or other touch buttons. Just the gray screen.

Had the truck 3 weeks.
 
A couple of things that others had success with.

Ignore it. It goes away eventually.

Hard reboot the unit. Hold power + tune until it turns off. 30 seconds or so.

Factory reset from the settings.

Disconnect battery and let it sit awhile. Differing opinions on how long though. It might have two batteries. Not sure on the '24's.
 
I’ve done the reset a couple of times. I can’t get to “settings”. All I have is a grey screen.
I’ll try disconnecting the battery tomorrow. It’s pouring down raining right now. 😁

UPDATE:

After letting it sit all night with the battery disconnected, I finally got it back to where I could get into the uconnect. I was still getting the error message. I did a factory reset, when it came back, I shut the truck off and did the battery thing for a couple of hours. No change. I made an appt with the dealer.

Went out later, hooked the battery back up and started the truck. Same thing.

Had to run an errand. Got back, decided to plug in a usb stick with some music.

Uconnect came up fine. No errors.
Gonna keep the dealer appt just in case it comes back.
