Ok, technically this might not qualify as "old rides" since I still have it, but I'm going to toss it in here anyway because it was an old ride at one time. It was my daily commuter for a bunch of years, and when it got loaded up with miles I sold it. 10 years later I was kicking around on Craigslist and saw it up for sale - two different guys only managed to put 15k miles on it in 10 years. I verified it was mine, took the 15 minute drive from my office to look at it, and bought it back after taking it for a ride (and got a nice hard top out of the deal, too). It needs a resto at this point, which is one of my projects when I retire.

My 2004 Nissan Titan. This was the truck I traded in to get the Ram. Got many faithful years out of it, and it's still kicking around here locally. If I ever see it up for sale, I'll probably buy it back too :D

Loved this thing. Was about to be repainted for the second time by Toyota so I traded it in. Thing would go ANYWHERE though.

My 91 Mazda B2200. This really was a truck I should have kept because it was just damn bulletproof. I always felt like a hobo driving it - the previous guy used it as a farm truck - but it was just so reliable. I drove it 50 miles home once on a blown slave cylinder by skipping shifts and rev-matching.

I don't have any pictures left of mine, but my first vehicle ever was a 93 b2200 le-5. Bought it as a sophomore in highschool making 5 bucks an hour. Put over 200k miles on it before I needed to do the clutch. Had it from 96-2006. Damn fine little truck.

2003 Ford F-150...purchased new in November, 2002. Transmission went out last February at 199,532 miles. Went out that afternoon and bought a 2021 RAM 1500 Limited, 5.7 eTorque. :)

PS: I felt quilty not buying another F-150...but I wanted that 12" screen and the Ramboxes! (y)

My favorite yesteryear car was my second car, a 1988 Honda CRX. That thing was fun to drive and my 12” subwoofer sounded amazing in it. (Because it was literally a foot from your head.

My favorite yesterday car was the 2008 Shelby GT500. Traded it in on the 18 Raptor….BIG mistake. (Although it worked out in the end as I now have a 13 GT500 Convertible and the TRX.)

New York Upstate Not the City!
There have been so many over the years I doubt I could recall them all. I think I was in my mid 40's before I ever paid more than 1K for a car. Now I don't care if I ever turn a wrench again!

An old Jeep I bought for $150 many many years ago in the early 80's. 3 on the tree with an electric overdrive. Can't remember the exact year but it was a 1960's model. I still had hair way back then! That thing was a beast to drive. I don't know how I stood it!

But...it was not my worse vehicle purchase ever the below was. I live in upstate NY and this Camaro was the worse riding and the most impractical car I ever bought. I was mesmerized by the looks but so useless in Upstate NY. You couldn't even drive it if the temps were below 40 as the performance tires turned to stone and spun. Sure it was fast but you could never drive it on the street to its capabilities unless you wanted a ticket. Never again! But boy it sure looked nice in the driveway! I traded it with 6000 miles on it for my first RAM and that was one of the best vehicle decisions I ever made!

My son’s 1998 Ram 4x4 with 83,000 miles. It was a one owner truck. He washes it weekly!

Here's my 2021 and 2015 Ram 1500s together. Wasn't really ready to trade but the dealer made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Love the panoramic sunroof and 12" screen.

^^^I like that Camaro in there!
Another of mine: Nissan Pathfinder 2001. This was a vehicle I really, really wanted to love but just never did get into. I kept it a bunch of years - it felt really sturdy in the snow in 4WD - but honestly the seats were made for a woman  I wear a size 48 jacket and I always had to sit with one or the other shoulder blade hanging over the seat bolster because the seats were too narrow, but not narrow enough for both blades to extend past the seat back. I also didn't like that the rear seats didn't fold completely flat, which was terminally stupid and annoying to my dogs when they rode back there. Oh, and the step bars were the perfect height for getting mud and snow slop on your pant legs, because unless you were 5'0 or shorter it was easier to step over them than use them. I can't complain, though, because I bought it at 75k miles, drove it to 160k, and then sold it to a kid who was dying for a Pathfinder for just a few hundred bucks less than I paid for it.

My Black & Tan 95 Miata. This was a great car with 1 caveat: the leather seats were hotter than hell in the summer. About a year after I bought it, I developed a severe left hamstring problem which made pushing in a clutch virtually impossible with my left leg. So I only ended up putting maybe 10k on it before I sold it, because it sat for the better part of another year while I tried to rehab my hamstring. When it didn't heal up I just went ahead and sold it. Thankfully, taking a roughly 2-year break from manual transmissions seemed to do the trick because 9 years ago I bought my Kia (manual) and have never had a relapse.
