Terrible fuel mileage in EcoDiesel

Greetings! I love the sound of my ecoDiesel in my 1500 Laramie Sport. My biggest complaint is I'm getting 0 mpg when it is sitting there idling in the morning and I am heating up the truck. Help please!

Garage has added to my MPG. Some like engine block heaters. Could run extension cord out there for a space heater. Plan route's that only go downhill will also help.
