I went open my tailgate today after unlocking my truck and the tailgate will not open. When I pull the tailgate handle I hear a little noise, but the tailgate still seems to be locked. All of the other doors are unlocked. I also have a hard cover no the bed of the truck that you have to have the tailgate open to open the cover, so I do not have access to the inside of the bed. Any help would be appreciated.

Try pulling it. Could the cover be causing some friction holding the tailgate?

I have had mine stick to the bed cover, I had to lift the cover a little and it released. That being said it was winter, I have a soft trifold and it froze to the tailgate. Sometimes the mechanism sticks so about twice a year I spray a little lubricant on the mechanisms on each side of the tailgate. Then I manually lock them in place and release with the latch. Good luck.
Also, a coworker had a hard time stick to his tailgate and he said he just hit it with some compressed air where the cover meets the tailgate and it unstuck.

This too! I have the OEM soft trim-fold, and my tailgate will not drop on its own. It'll unlatch, but then needs a slight pull to drop down. To be honest, I use the barn doors almost all the time, so I seldom drop it traditionally.
