I scratched up my tailgate spoiler or cap this weekend. I ordered another one but can't find any installation instructions. Does it just pop off or do you have to take off the inner wall of the tailgate to access some screws?

No idea, but how much was the cap? Figure I'll need one at some point.

If it’s anything like the 4th gen you need to remove the inside cover on the tailgate and the spoiler is completely held on by push in clips/locking tabs, no screws from what I remember.

I'm not sure if you can access the clips/tabs from inside, but it should pop off without damaging the tailgate if not. They aren't expensive. BAM sells them for $31.53. Mopar calls it a tailgate spoiler.

Just pull it. It will damage the old one but not the tailgate.

Curious, how did you end of removing the spoiler?
