Tailgate release not working

If I remember, I just moved it like 2-3 mm (1/16th inch) at a time until it was consistent.

Check your left (driver) side as well .. but mine and a couple co-workers had just to adjust the passenger side.

So after several trips to the dealer including showing them a video of it happening, they said they couldn’t duplicate and didn’t do anything to resolve the issue.

I did the adjustment on the passenger side striker bolt where the tailgate latches and haven’t had the issue since. I only had to move mine about 1/16th inch rearward and it took about 5 minutes. Thanks for the tip!
