Do 2019 Rebels come with the tailgate open warning light?

Mine doesn’t come on if we have it.

There was another thread on the topic... Seems none of us have it - even though it's on the build sheet.

IIRC, the consensus was FCA is aware but has no resolution.

that's interesting... did you have to set it from menu, or have dealer do it? Or was it always that way?...

My build sheet says I have it, but I don't... I read a thread here that indicated it was a known problem... maybe I misunderstood or there is now a solution?

Do you have the remote tailgate release? Don't know if that makes a difference or not, but it shouldn't. Mine has it, and if I don't close the gate hard enough, it comes on.

@Trooper4 I do not have the remote tailgate release. I don’t think it was an option when I had my truck built.

I definitely have the light on dash on my 19 Rebel. I have the level 2 if that makes a difference.

I have a 2020 Laramie with e torque level 1 equipment group. with-12 screen my tailgate ajar does not work. Light does not show on dash. Other doors ajar work.

I also have level 2 equipment group. I’m not sure my door ajar works I’ll have to check it out.

Mine was set that way when I got it. No remote tailgate release.

Yeah, I guess I'll get over there eventually... itll be interesting to see how it goes...they were accommodating with a couple minor issues upon initial purchase - hopefully this is equally successful.

I really like the idea of having the feature.

With my tailgate closed I can push on my tailgate and there’s a little play as if it’s not fully closed. Anyone else experience this?

Well yes but it turns out it not fully closed and getting hung up on the tonneau cover gasket. I need to open and slam shut with bit harder push.

Mine works, I have the remote tailgate release also, not sure if that matters or not?
