I’ve had clunk in the front end for some time. Just on two track rough and bumpy roads. I finally found the clunck. Worn out Sway bar end links. I replaced those and fixed the problem. clunk came back and I replaced the sway bar bushings with moog bushings. they were worn pretty good. That fixed the problem for for a little while. When the clunk came back. I replaced the bushings again as I though maybe i just had a bad set or the wrong ones. Within about 50 miles the good ol clunck came back. seems Like the clunk is there in the cool morning ( and I can move the sway bar laterally by hand and it has some play that replicates the same noise) and then goes away as the day gets hot. It’s driving me nuts. Any ideas on this one.

Multiple threads about the famous clunk already on here. Try a search. The things you mentioned I have also tried and I still have a clunk I can't track down.

Instead of replacing parts with cheap stock replacements, get upgraded parts.

Suspensionmaxx end links and Energy Suspension bushings

I've replaced mine with the parts you listed, it unfortunately hasn't fixed my clunk. I do think it's better, but it's still there. It's driving me nuts.

Then it's not your sway bar clunking. Do you have a lift/level on the truck

Yes, just the Bilstein 5100s set to 2.1". I've gone through and confirmed everything is tight. I found my driver side tie rod somewhat loose the other day and I was able to turn that nut 2-3 full turns. I was hoping that was the cause, but it sadly was not.

I replaced sway bar end links and bushings and still have the clunk. 4 wheel parts took a look and said its my lower control arms.

Can you elaborate? I was talking with 4 wheel parts in Orlando a week ago in an effort to have them inspect my truck. If you can let us know what part of the LCA is the issue, that'd be great. It's either the bushings or the ball joint, so....

I don't recall but they quoted me full lca replacement and I held off since I realized my extended warranty from fidelity covers suspension

Did fidelity cover this even with your lift? I have fidelity and a lift as well and am wondering.

I took the sway bar off today and drove the truck on a rough rocky road. No noise so I think that rules out a control arm issue. the end bar
links are tight with no play. Guess I’ll order some energy suspension bushings and give those a try. I’ve lots hd good luck with moog bushings but maybe these just don’t work on the ram. With all the issues that rams has
known about for years such as exhaust manifold bolts breaking. Rear window frames cracking and electrical problems and a host of other problems I’ll likely be headed over to the Chevy dealership for my next truck. I love the truck
but I am sick of wrenching on it
