Sun roof shade off track rolled back in headliner

The sun roof shade pooped off the guides and rolled back into the headliner. Looking for tips getting it out of the headliner and back on guides without going to the dealer. Thanks.

Hey, I know this was many moons ago but, did you get it out? Mine did the same thing today and I can't get it.

hey same thing just happened to me, was able to jam my hand in the headliner and pull the shade out but can't get the sunshade bar back onto the cheap plastic! mechanical pullers. anyone know the trick to get it back on?

Hey did anyone solve this issue on their own? Or did you have to go to the dealer to fix it?

The same issue happened to me. I tried everything to pull the shade out, but it would not release. The dealership worked on it for three days (literally picked it up two hours ago). Their quote to fix the shade motor and components....wait for it...$2,100!!! I live in Georgia, and the sun is cooking me while driving. I have looked high and low for a perfect-fit aftermarket shade with no luck.
