Stuck in gear after downshift

My 2019 has been getting "stuck" in a lower gear after accelerating, which required a downshift, it seems to stay in the lower gear after decreasing the amount of throttle. It seems to stay in the lower gear for a while until it realizes that it can shift to a higher gear. Would this be a potential computer problem or something actually wrong with my transmission.

When in doubt power cycle the computers by removing a battery lead for an hour. Resets all the PCMs. How many miles on the truck?

That's what I was thinking of doing, thanks for confirming that I was headed in the right direction. I'm at just over 50k miles now.
