Well, I do have an update - the dealer took the truck in and evaluated the transmission behavior I was having, same as OP, and they ended up recommending a transmission replacement and covered by warranty. Dealer had to get regional reps approval, whatever that means. At first, they wanted to go with a remanufactured unit, but I asked for a new unit instead. Truck should be ready and of this week. Hopefully it runs and shifts fine and this isnt just the beginning of a long repair saga.

You can ask all you want, they don't have to give you a brand new one under warranty. You may get lucky, if they don't have any remans at the time.
