What would all of these marks be used for? These are in my new trucks door jambs. It had 11 miles when I got it. Very odd and I do not see the purpose .

QC. Marking that those items are indeed present and installed properly before it goes to the next station. Could be standard practice, or could be extra (temporary) QC because they had an issue at some point and they added extra verification to eliminate the problem.

I had these on my truck too and assumed it was also something related to quality control. Came off easy with a gentle all purpose cleaner/quick detailer and microfiber towel.

I had them on my truck as well, they are wax pencil marks to show the bolt was torqued down correctly or fastener was placed correctly during assembly. As mentioned, they are easily wiped away if you wish.

I know on car restorations, they duplicate those same marks for authenticity, but our trucks are not 60 eras muscle cars :)

AKA lack of quality control markings. I had a few marks on things that weren’t installed properly or at all which is mind blowing to me. One example in my truck was my rear sunroof drains had markings on them but were hanging down not even installed. Crazy.
