Stock stereo - any reviews?

Im sure it sounds good to most people but im coming from Rockford fosgate power series "T" that i had in dart ralley with turbo that i installed in it seriously lacks.. lol trying to figure out what i can do for decent setup without destroying whats left of my hearing haha

I specifically looked for trucks w/Alpine after listening to it. Really like the sound at medium volume (i've never gone above 20 on the dial).

This is the first vehicle in years where I feel I don't need to do any work on the sound system.

You can absolutely notice a difference with replacing just the speakers, but the key is to find the most efficient speaker possible. A more sensitive speaker will make the most of whatever power it gets.

Any speaker with a sensitivity over 90db will be a huge improvement in any vehicle. I've replaced many door speakers in my vehicles and friend's vehicles with Infinity Kappa's line which have a sensitivity of either 93db or 94db depending on the size. Huge improvement over stock, but sensitivity is key!

Klipsch home speakers are known for their sensitivity. They're famous for getting impressive volume out of 1 watt. Do they sound better and get louder with 300 watts? yes...but they sound better than 95% of any other speaker getting 1 watt. My Klipsch tower speakers have a sensitivity of 110db. To put that in perspective, that's a 100x the output of a speaker rated at 90db sensitivity...so you can imagine what going from an 80db sensitivity stock speaker in your truck (best guess) to a 94db speaker
