Stock P Tires to LT tires PSI

I currently have stock Goodyear Wrangler’s 275/65R/18 tires on my 2019 Bighorn which I’m assuming are P rated tires. My buddy has brand new Goodyear Duratrac tires of the same size but rated LT 123/120Q that he wants to give me off a 2019 Silverado 2500. Before I take them I have concerns. I know the ride and handling will not be as smooth but I’m worried about the tire pressure. Currently the stock tires are recommended at 36 psi. I’m not sure what the recommended psi is for the Duratrac on the Ram if the sidewall lists a max psi of 80 and going from P to LT rated tires. I’m sure the tire shop will know but will a higher pressure say between 50-70 psi set off my TPMS or do they only sensor under-inflation?

Okay so I just did this and the new tires came out to 50 PSI. So will my TPMS come on if I'm 14 PSI over the original programmed PSI of 36?

I went from stock bighorn 20s to a takeoff rims and duatracs from a rebel. I have then at 55psi and my tpms doesn't error out.

I run E load Toyos, 38 rear and 40 front, with perfect tire wear, as stock ride. The sidewall lists max pressure at max load. Generally, a tpms trips when there is a significant difference in tire pressures, not a set number high or low.

For reference the Rebel comes with E rated tires, factory settings are 55 front 45 rear

I'm not positive on this, but I think TPMS looks for a significant change in established tire pressure, not an exact range. Someone correct me if that's incorrect.

I wouldnt run 55 in the front or you’ll feel every crack in the road. I run 45/45 front to rear on 275/70/18 E rated Coopers

I was running 55 up front on my Duratracs. Dialed it back to 47 and the ride is noticeably better and quieter.

So I had the Duratracs put on. Running them at 45 all around. They look great however they have quite a loud hum even at low speeds and I'm getting some vibrations and a little steering wheel shake around 55-70 mph. It's not too bad though.

Never been a fan of duratracs, but you might want to have them rebalanced to fix the steering wheel shake. Duratracs are not the smoothest or quietest AT tire out there.

Try 55 psi front and 45 psi rear. That is what is recommended for the Rebels.
