P0456 and this mod have nothing to do with eachother. Unless you broke the purge solenoid or broke a vacuum hose on the intake loosening the air box and snorkel. Recheck your work. Depending on the age of the truck you might have just been unlucky. Just like the guy that shows up for an LOF but ever since you did that the passenger rear door lock doesn’t work.

Just remove it. I did and it doesn't hurt anything for sure. If anything it will help air flow.

it is a charcoal filter which is just a California EPA requirement. It does slightly impact airflow and I took it out of both my gen5 rams when adding an AFE filter.
