Steering wheel makes a random grunt

Every so often my truck makes what I call a grunt sound when turning the wheel. Its random and is fairly loud lasting about a second or two.

Anyone have this condition or have it looked at? What was the result?

Its very intermittent and I am unable to consistently repeat it so I know the dealer will do nothing.

It seems widespread but the dealer seems to not know what the problem is - some dealers just throwing parts at the problem.
