just FYI, I took my truck in for the brake pedal and orc power down flash and oil change/rotate. I told the service person about the steering issue and told them they wouldn’t be able to replicate since it happens after an hour or so of driving. They said something about some download they would do. I told them the only thing that’s been fixing the issue was replacing the steering rack. Well they didn’t replace the rack but whatever download they did fixed it. Drive 4.5 hours the same day and no issues.

interesting, i've noticed on occasion mine bends slightly to the right

Sounds like there is a TSB for it and the steering rack usually gets replaced as you said.

I read that before taking it in. Don’t know if they replaced the rack. It’s not on paperwork. Just the recall work and some download. Idk

Hello Ram Team, My 2019 Ram 1500 4x4 Big Horn is sticking as well when turning left on long sweeping turns at 55mph. What is the fix? I have not returned by vehicle for the recall on air bags and seat belts yet. Do you think they can replace my rack when I go in? I am thinking that would be the only fix. Already had the ground wire and pedal recalls completed.

I had the same issue. It was the steering rack

Yea. Mine seemed better but it still did it. They probably just greased it or something. I’ll have to take it back.

Mine is doing the same thing did they ever fix it and what did they do

I had posted this somewhere in that bigger thread. On my second trip in for the problem they reset some steering software that learns. It seemed to make the problem better. once it readapted the mechanical failure of the rack just caused it to happen again. The amazing part is that there is some kind of software in these trucks that affects steering even with the lane keeper turned off. It had to be reset after the rack is replaced or they will not be able to get your steering wheel perfectly straight. The first reset was a temp fix. The second time was after the rack was replaced. I have been good for a thousand miles. Keep at it with Ram.
