Since I purchase my 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn 5.7 4x4, I have noticed that the steering feels strange. When I turn the wheel the left front tire feels like it is caught in a groove and hesitates a little to respond to my steering wheel input. It feels vague and notchy. Has anyone else experienced this?

Worth double checking tyre pressures before you take to dealer.
I seem to remember a thread about steering to the left and the wheel not returning to centre, might be a similar problem but pretty sure that was on early trucks.

Hello FastoEd,
We understand why this may be concerning. We would kindly suggest getting this addressed by your local dealer if your concern continues. If you decide to go this route we are also available via private message if you would like any additional assistance during that process.

I would take that in to the dealer. Definitely not normal. The symptoms you are describing are what I felt in an older car that had a worn steering rack and tie rod ends. I'm sure yours aren't worn, but maybe there is something out of adjustment or, even worse, defective. Don't take a chance with it, take it in asap.

I had this happen very early on where the Electronic steering seemed to forget where the center straight setting was at and it would fight me to return to what it thought was the straight ahead middle. It only did this once and I have had at least 2 software updates since.
