Start of 2022 Production.

I'm reaching hard on this one but I wonder if there's a discrepancy between people who put down a cash deposit (and then even moreso for people who were told their deposit was "nonrefundable" and/or signed something, like me), and people who didn't.

In other words, there's more potential liability for a dealer if they took your money and/or signed a deal and it takes 10 months to get you your truck. So maybe dealers are pressuring Ram to get those trucks out, in whatever way they might be able do that?

Could easily be wrong, but this is what we do here right? Shoot theories out like clay pigeons.
Absolutely has nothing to do with it. Trucks are built based upon allocation and parts availability. Higher volume dealers have more allocation/priority than smaller ones so those dealer orders will get built first.

Yeah, nonrefundable $1K deposit, have a deal signed for a specific amount. And I got built pretty quick. However...

Moparian seems to know what he's talking about and he's probably right. Just spitballing here because despite my current status, it's frustrating that it's almost impossible to tell who's gonna get built when. Even with all the info we have/are getting from Eighty & triple, there's just nothing that resembles a reliable pattern.

The dealer I bought from (Faulkner CDJR) does alright, but they're not even the highest volume dealer in the area, not by a long shot (that's Heritage).

Something I found interesting. If you try to build a 22 Limited on the Canadian website, it states the following are "limited availability":
  • Trailer Tow Group
    • Trailer Brake Control
    • Trailer Light Check
    • Trailer Reverse Steering Control
    • Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring
  • Technology Group
    • Digital rearview mirror with autodim display
    • Heads Up Display
    • LED CHMSL Lamp
  • 285/45R22XL BSW All Season Tires
  • Electronic Locking Rear Differential
I literally have none of those on my build, may be why I got BS prior to several ahead of me???

Ohhh. so that (seems to be) why Night was holding things up. Saw some theories it was the Tonneau cover, but it's actually that size of tire (for the 22's).

Interestingly, I was supposed to get 285/45r22 Goodyear Eagle Touring tires (Night Edition) but according to my build sheet, I'm getting Pirelli's. Which is fine by me, but makes me wonder if they are only doing that because that's what's available.

Well my Bighorn build wasn't able to be placed until I removed the Tech group and the Tonneau cover.

Not saying you are wrong.

I have a long Horn on order to; order date 7/14. Did the ASG fall off of your order sheet to? My initial MSRP was 75,370 but Ram changed my order and the ASG fell off and new MSRP is 73,435. My dealer is telling me the ASG and Tech group is included in my Level 1 still. I find it weird the MSRP is reduced by $1,935 but still retain all of the features of ASG. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that is the case. I plan to not accept the truck if it don’t have the ASG features.

That is exactly the story I got. But then he backed it up with this list of the new Level 1 equipment group:

Longhorn Level 1 Equipment Group (A68)

Details:
Adaptive Cruise Control w/Stop & Go (NHZ)
Surround View Camera System (XAK)
Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection (XAN)
Parallel & Perp Park Assist w/Stop (XH5)
LED CHMSL Lamp (LPH)
Wireless Charging Pad (RFX)
Uconnect 5 Nav w 12.0" Display (USA) (UBQ)
Ventilated Rear Seats (CAH)
Pedestrian Emergency Braking (LST)
12.0" Touchscreen Display (RFA)
19 SPKR Harman Kardon Prem. Sound (RCA)
Power Running Boards (MR7)
Head Up Display (LBK)
Tailgate Ajar Warning Lamp (LAN)
Digital Rearview Mirror (GRG)
Auto Dim Exterior Passenger Mirror (LEU)
Lane Keep Assist (LAS)

My financing is done and put down 5k May 12Th. Dealer says tentatively oct 15 it should start

I have an almost fully loaded Limited on order and still in D status as of last Friday, so not sure how much I believe that. My order went in on 6/26, and higher VINs are being built.
I can relate

I suspect that's why mine went through so quickly at vin 152xxx. I don't know for fact, but I've heard Kernersville CDJR is one of the largest volume dealers in the country 🤔

Exact same for me…. My night edition build sheet shows pirellis.

i think the night edition is stalling things….. my dealer ordered me 2 trucks, the first one was without the night edition and the 2nd was with. When we realized the first one wasn’t right we ordered the second one…. Vins are 1 number apart. And can you believe it ? The non-night edition order has been built with a window sticker and the one that I want with night edition only has a build sheet……. Go figure

Sounds like both then.
Do we know if trucks have been shipping with tonneau covers yet? I would gladly pick one up from somebody else if it got my truck here sooner. Also does anybody know if the night edition is an issue for all trims?

I sure hope a tonneau cover isn't holding things up for orders. I personally didn't want it but it came with the backcountry package. Id gladly say keep it and send my truck...not even looking for a price cut!

If it is I'm screwed!!!

I have a night edition…. I’m currently still in the D stage. Was told by the Ram Chat that it should be scheduled within the next 10 days ……. For whatever that’s worth
