Stake pocket covers -- useful?

Hi all,

I don't think I will ever use the stake pockets in the truck bed. I see they sell stake pocket covers. Any good reason to put these on rather than leacing the stake pockets open?

I covered them just for the clean look. Amazon
But I did realize after, I had to find a new place to grab when climbing into the back.

Visual only, if you don’t mind seeing the hole, leave them open. I preferred not to, so I bought a pair from Amazon.

I leave mine open because I have a tonneau cover so in my opinion it allows heat to escape .

Out of the bed , in the summer I can see the heat coming out of them . Might not matter but I like the heat being able to escape .

They look better closed off. These are Truxedo stake pocket cover part # 1706218
