Squealing noise on start/stop

I just leased a 2025 with the V6 engine. I had a 2021 5.7 V8 previously and hope I didn't make a mistake. The night I drove it off the lot, I noticed that when I would come to a stop and the auto start/stop would engage, a loud squeal would occur when I took my foot off the brake to re-engage the motor. I also hear squeals intermittently when driving at lower speeds around curves or just randomly. Any ideas on what these could be?

Not being an a$$. My guess would be your taking a trip back to the dealer. You lease, they fix. Don't monkey with it or they will accuse you of breaking it.

Yeah I planned on bringing it back for them to diagnose and fix. The guy that sold it to me heard it and said to get it scheduled. I just thought maybe a few of the people on here had a similar issue and could tell me what it might be. Thanks!

It could be the belt or pulley on the ETorque? Keep us informed.

It turned out to be a faulty Idler Pulley. They replaced and I haven't heard a sound since. The auto start/stop is also working again.

I don't believe the 2025's utilize the Etorque system. I think it's been scrapped.
