I'm adding a spray in bed liner to my Rebel. In my area (N Dallas) I have four options: Line X, Rhino Liner, Speedliner and Truxx.

Are these all basically the same? Any pluses or minuses anyones experienced with any of these?

Thanks for any feedback.

Jim

Line-X would be closest to factory (said to be a subsidiary of). I've had both a Line-X sprayed locally and a factory in my HD's and they're great. They are hard (and a bit slick) but can take a lot of abuse before chipping/cracking and IMHO look better than others. You can also color match.

Based on a friend's truck, Rhino tends to be softer and may chunk off.

Can't say on the others. Warranty and access to a dealer for repairs should be considered.

I'd never hesitate to go Line-X.

I've had Rhino in 3 trucks and it's held up fine. My Dakota was 23 years old when I got rid of it and had it since day 1. Never an issue. I think they are all good as long as the prep is done properly.

Best combination is Line-X and then any good quality heavy duty rubber bed mat.

The Line-X to protect the bed, the bed mat to prevent anything from moving around in your bed while also protecting delicate stuff from getting scratched up by the sandpaper like surface of the bed liner.

In fact, if you don't need the heavy duty bed sidewall protection of the bed liner, bed mat maybe fine by itself.

Rhino liner is thicker and has more texture. But also "grips" better so stuff dkesnt slide around. Line-x is thinner and harder . Didn't really keep stuff in place. The other two are most likely going to be similar to line-x and probably just as good. Shop around, each shop should be able to show you a sample or a vehicle with it on. Pick the one you like the best and fits your budget. If you aren't running a bed cover, make sure they offer UV protection for the product to keep it from fading.
