Sport Hood. Swap

Anyone swap out the standard laramie hood for a sport hood and had it completely repainted to include bezels. I was not keen on the sport all one color appearance pkg so I went with the chrome to break it up my thoughts being to replace hood and have it painted with bezels, tri coat ivory. Any thoughts??

I did a concept rendering showing the sport hood with the inserts painted to match. It wasn’t a popular idea, and the general consensus was that the contrast is key on the sport hood.

Photoshop - Sport Hood Color Match?

I was just curious to see what the sport hood might look like if the black plastic bits were painted to match the body color! I know the texture would be a complication to actually painting these parts. But, just a fun little concept. What do you all think of the look? This isn't the best...

Thanks, still up in sir on swap, just because it's a pain to buy hood have it painted and swap out, would love to find one prepainted or someone wants a swap. Time on my side. Thanks for pic was a big help.

I swapped out my Laramie hood for a Sport one and had it painted my color, but I definitely prefer the black to remain as contrast...

If you don’t mind me asking what did the sport hood cost with paint? And did you swap the mirror covers and upper part between the hood and grill as well?

I’m not 100% sure as I don’t have my invoice at home. But the hood was $625 not painted and to paint and blend ran me $850. I swapped to oem bodycolored mirror caps and I ordered and had a new oem hood appliqué painted and installed. I origami paid to have the appliqué painted but since I was having the hood done, that was part of the $850...

Ok it looks good. I have the same truck that has all the chrome and I want to paint the chrome black and get the sport hood.
