Spare tire hanger too large for aftermarket wheel - solutions?

I purchased a full size wheel/tire to fit my ‘22 limited and ran into an issue installing it. The problem is the center cap hole in the new wheel is too narrow to pass the spare tire hanger through it.

Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas to resolve it?

That doesn't sound right unless the new wheel you bought is not for a 5th Gen Ram.

It’s for the Ram - it’s the BBS TL-A. Hubcentric fit, but it actually necks down at the center cap so the hanger won’t go through.
